Places for People are continuing to work with and for communities by supporting local charity, Befrienders Highland.
The team has donated £1,000 to the small voluntary organisation working to improve the lives of people who are experiencing mental health issues and memory difficulties, including dementia.
The charity works with adults and carers who are lonely and isolated living in the Highland region of Scotland. The donation will go towards supporting somebody in need by giving them access to a friendship for a whole year, including some of our customers at Tornagrain.
Company Director of Befrienders Highland, Susan White, said,
“On behalf of our board, and myself, we would like to thank Places for People for their kindness, which will enable us to reach more people who live with mental ill health, in a caring role, or with memory loss, and who find themselves lonely and isolated in our communities. The sum of £1,000 will sponsor a friendship for an entire year and will make a real difference to somebody’s life.”
