If you need someone to talk to please contact one of the organisations below; you are not alone, there are people ready to listen and give you the support you need.
In Scotland we opened our first branch in Edinburgh in 1959. Since then we have grown to 20 branches supported by over 1,000 volunteers across the country, stretching from Shetland to the Scottish Borders. Day or night, a Samaritans volunteer is there to give support to anyone feeling down or struggling to cope.
The Hive Project is the Highland’s first out of hours mental health crisis centre (19 Academy Street, Inverness) which provides a safe place to those who are in need of it. Opening Hours: Sun to Thurs 6-10pm, Fri & Sat 6-11pm. They also run a crisis text service (07779 303 303).
A confidential phoneline for anyone in Scotland over the age of 16, feeling low, anxious or depressed (0800 83 85 87).
Provides confidential information, support and temporary accommodation for Women, Children and Young People who have experienced domestic abuse.
Connected Compassionate Support. Distress Brief Interventions (DBIs) supporting people in distress.
