A Big Thank You from Us

Posted on

Befrienders Highland has never been so busy, and our coordinators are making new friendship matches all the time. In the last 12 months we have created 51 new matches which is amazing considering we have all been working from home and doing all our training of volunteers by phone, post, and video conferencing.  Heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers who make such a difference to the lives of others every week.

We are so pleased that loneliness and mental health support are being recognised more by the government,  and truly hope that the recommendations for long-term funding support are realised. We would like to thank everyone who has provided additional funding to us during the Covid pandemic to allow us to bring in additional staff and equipment to better support more people across Highland during the past year.

Lottery Community Fund, NHS Highland, Allen Lane Foundation, Tesco Bags for Life, Foundation Scotland, SCVO Adapt & Thrive, HIE Recovery Fund, Corra Foundation, and SCVO Hunter Wellbeing Fund
